Posting in response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Muse.”
No matter our creative bent we all crave the constant company of a muse. Pages, perhaps books, have been written about the wonder of the muse as a source of focus and inspiration and how lost we are when the the source dries up. I am grateful to Brie Anne Demkiw for the week’s photo challenge topic. I have never been completely certain what my muse is so to take the search in another direction has brought clarity and finally a place from which to seek inspiration and regain focus and equilibrium.
Holding the down arrow in my picture gallery and scrolling at speed through many and more photos the blue of water became evident almost immediately. It rings true in life as well as behind the eye of the camera for this blogger. Every heaviness melts away beside water, whether it is the ocean, a river or water feature.
The sea, the shore and other watery places are my places to go when I need to be refreshed and stimulated too, Linda. We actually went to the seashore today and it was lovely – especially seeing whales migrating off Norah Head! 🙂

Oh my goodness, did you take your binoculars. That would have been amazing, maybe we’ll have to head on over there tomorrow afternoon, weather permitting. It is an exciting time of year along the eastern seaboard and we’re so blessed to be right here.

We hadn’t known about the whales, so didn’t have the binoculars, or a good camera. But seeing them was great – my very first whale sightings! I was amazed at how many were going by – people said they’d seen lots. Worth a trip across to have a look. 🙂
