U is for Unborn Child


 “Every person has the right to have his life respected.

This right shall be protected by law and, in general, from the moment of conception.

The quote above is taken from the The 1978 American Convention on Human Rights states, in Article 4.1, from we can assume that any violent act that results in the death of the unborn child is a criminal act.  The United States of America has recognised that life is life even when it is waiting born.

On the other hand Canada does not recognise the sanctity of the unborn child but rather states that:

a fetus is a “human being … when it has completely proceeded, in a living state, from the body of its mother whether or not it has completely breathed, it has an independent circulation or the navel string is severed

The conversation continues but I wonder what you think?
